From the Heart: Thank You for an Unforgettable Year in BCCW

Closing out 2024 and moving through 2025 has been a complete rollercoaster for everyone at BCCW. From emotional goodbyes, to shocking returns, to title changes that rocked the venue, you’ve helped make this year one we’ll never forget.

The moments that defined the year

We ended 2024 with mixed emotions as we said goodbye to Lucas Casmere and CJ Rawlings which is never an easy thing to do. But in true BCCW fashion, we still found reasons to smile. Jim Hunter captured the FCW Black Country Championship in a match that’ll live forever, with Trent Seven making sure the Hunter brothers remembered it was Christmas time after all.

2025 kicked off in February supporting our friends at Bustleholme Football Club, before we rolled straight into King of the Division 4 — and as always we took time to remember Cam Wellington. With his family present, you made sure The Original King of the Division was honoured the Black Country way. Thank you.

On that same night, Luke Douglas defended his King of the Division Championship in true 21st Century Hero style by winning the Warfare Match. And then… Kemper shocked Allen’s Sports Bar by defeating Jim Hunter for the FCW Black Country Championship in only his second title defence.

The Showdown and a tribute we’ll never forget

May took us to Parkes Hall Social Club for The Showdown — another unforgettable night in BCCW history. It also gave us the chance to pay tribute to Paul Jenks (Paul Sinclair), who sadly lost his battle with illness this year.

Paul meant the world to all of us. A true pioneer of West Midlands wrestling. Without Paul, there is no BCCW. We love you and we miss you, Paul — thank you for everything.

The Showdown delivered chaos in the best way: surprise returns, tables, chairs, and moments that made your eyes water (in more ways than one). And immediately after, all focus turned to July…

Key to the Kingdom: a key, a shock… and tears

At Key to the Kingdom, Hot Shot Joey Scott went above and beyond to win the Rumble — earning the Key that unlocks a title opportunity of his choice, anytime, any place, anywhere. Keep your eyes on that one.

But the moment that truly stunned Allen’s Sports Bar — and left some of us in tears — was the return of CJ Rawlings. After six months away, the Unpredictable one came back and immediately set his sights on Kemper. A moment we’ll never forget.

Halloween Mayhem 4: four years in the making

October brought Halloween Mayhem 4: I Want To Play A Game — and a match four years in the making finally happened:

ClarkeWard vs The Hunter Brothers.

First announced before our very first show in October 2021… and it absolutely delivered. Matt & Mark came out victorious.

That night also saw CJ Rawlings & Violet Nyte defeat Kemper & Dominita — and CJ made it crystal clear: in December, he wanted revenge, and he wanted the FCW Black Country Championship.

A new home announced: Apollo Wolverhampton

October also brought major news from Commissioner Chaos:

From February 2026, BCCW’s new home will be Apollo Wolverhampton (formerly the Astoria) — right in the city centre.

Xmas Gimmicks: That’s A Wrap — and what a finale

We closed out 2025 and the Allen’s Bar era with Xmas Gimmicks: That’s A Wrap.

Commissioner Chaos kept the breaking news coming, announcing that the opening triple threat tag team match would be a Semi Final in the tournament for the incoming BCCW Tag Team Championships. The Hunter Brothers advanced to the final, defeating Bred 4 Better and Mark Clarke (with a new partner for the night) the impressive Killer Kyle George.

One of the biggest highlights of the year saw the PROGRESS Wrestling World Championship defended in BCCW, as the returning Man Like Dereiss successfully defended against Kid Lykos II. Huge thanks to Lee McAteer and the team at PROGRESS for allowing us to showcase such a massive match.

And congratulations to:

  • Luke Douglas, closing the year as the longest reigning King of the Division in BCCW history.

  • CJ Rawlings, who completed the comeback of all comebacks by defeating Kemper to become 2-time FCW Black Country Champion

So… what’s next?

The next chapter begins with our debut Apollo Wolverhampton show:

King of the Division 5 — tickets are on sale now and moving fast. New tag team titles. New faces. Old faces returning. Your favourites in action. 2026 is going to be bigger and brighter than ever.

But the main question on everyone’s lips is…

Will TJ Sky ever win a match? There’s only one way to find out.

Thank you

A huge thank you to:

  • The Sports Shop Kingswinford for their partnership and kindness this year and we look forward to more of the same in 2026.

  • Everyone at The Violet Project — a suicide bereavement support charity we’re proud to continue supporting

  • MC Photography & Creations, Kate’s Krafts, BA Productions, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make these shows happen

  • And of course, Amie, Bob, and the entire team at Allen’s Bar — we will forever be grateful

Finally, to all of you — the BCCW faithful. You buy the tickets, you bring the noise, you make the signs, you create the atmosphere, and you make these nights what they are. We thank every single one of you.

Not just from me, but from Commissioner Chaos, Craig, Matt, Don & Lewis Daze — we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

See you in 2026 for the next chapter in BCCW history.

Anything Can Happen in BCCW.

From the Heart,

Tom Tom Tom
